Time Once Lost (Remastered)

hylian-cellist This is the last of Rozen's Zelda albums I had left to collect, even though it was his first released. When I first listened to it I began to draw the obvious comparisons between this and Children of Termina. However, after listening to this album a few times I realized it is its own thing entirely, more similar to the Ballads of Hyrule than the rest of the 'Of Hyrule' series. This makes Time Once Lost's chill atmosphere compliment Rozen's cinematic 'Of Hyrule' series surprisingly well. Favorite track: Where Have You Ben (Remastered).

D. H. Price I've had nothing but praise for Rozen for a long time. However, criticism where it's due, I was disappointed in this one. Rozen has covered most, if not all of these tracks before, and covered them better. I'd love to hear Rozen produce his own music on the same level of quality as the music he covers, and sell us something we've never heard before. I'm sure the brand recognition makes it easier to sell music, but too many talented composers use it as a crutch. Time to make your own way. Favorite track: Oath to Order (Time Twice Lost).

Boots I missed this album the first time around so hearing HD 2015 Rozen is a treat! plotting the trajectory of where you've been to where you are now leaves me jazzed for where you're going. Favorite track: Oath to Order (Time Twice Lost).

Robert V woods of mystery is exactly how it is titled. love it from beginning to end. it's so haunting yet enticing the listener into a lul of mystery, where danger lurks within the mist of the dense forest of the lost woods. Favorite track: Woods of Mystery (Remastered).

about

My 2015 album "Time Once Lost," featuring early arrangements from Majora's Mask, is coming to Bandcamp for the first time, as a remaster.

I'm celebrating the original release with a new look and a brand new track featuring the fabulous strings of Sofia Session Orchestra, which you've heard in many of my studio albums. I wanted to give you a new "Oath to Order" arrangement, combined with my original composition "[Tsol Ecno Emit]."

Hope you look forward to revisiting this classic as well as enjoying the new track. I'll save news about a physical release for tomorrow morning!

Do you have any nostalgic memories of the album? Is there a track you still listen to to this day? Or will this be a new release for you?

ABOUT THE ALBUM

Introducing Time Once Lost (Remastered): originally released in 2015, Time Once Lost was Rozen's first ever album, and first album-length journey into the world of Majora's Mask.

Here Rozen revisits several themes of Termina, both the awe-inspiring and the everyday. They sound simultaneously timeless and new, like old friends not seen in years.

Featuring an additional track "Oath to Order (Time Twice Lost)" that is brand new for the remastered edition, performed by Sofia Session Orchestra, in Bulgaria.

"Time once lost….cannot be returned. Cannot be reclaimed. Cannot pass the same way again.

Memories have color. The carefree days of the past glow, whatever flecks of tarnish having long faded away. Mundane details often grow brighter in significance. Even places of darkness have their beauty, though the pain of trauma always leaves its stain.

It’s alright. You can play the Song of Time, let the memories wrap around you and bring you warmth. You can hold onto the place you came from and the life that built you. But take care that you do not trap yourself in the loop of time once lost."
